Luke Pearson does a New Yorker cover, plus a sackful of other fantastic updates

Date
14 May 2013

It’s been a little while since we last featured the brilliant Luke Pearson but, as expected, the young comics artist and illustrator is going from strength to strength. As well as releasing two new Hilda titles and receiving numerous commissions from The New York Times, he’s managed to secure the most prestigious of all illustration commissions; the front cover of The New Yorker. His illustration features an intergalactic space terminal jettisoning a bright red pod into the cosmos and looks comfortably at home on this most-respected cover slot. So congratulations Luke, we hope this is the first of many, and we’ll be here waiting to write about the next one when it comes through.
