Madame Peripetie's eccentric photographs are weird but oh so striking

When you’re younger you never want to be called “weird,” you want to blend in, laughing at the right jokes, talking about the right TV shows and liking very ordinary things. Now we’ve left our uniform, Nokia 3210 days behind us, the weird and the wonderful couldn’t be more encouraged. Normal is out man so bring on the madness.

Take photographer Madame Peripetie whose work personifies eccentricity and outlandishness. Using fashion, sculpture and the human body she experiments with abstract concepts and brings in high-fashion elements which culminate in a cornucopia of colour, fabrics, ideas and textures. Madame Peripetie’s images are strong and graphic, and definitely grab your attention whether you want them to or not. Her portfolio is bursting with work but it’s the Dream Sequence project that caught our eye where flowers, bright colours and even a bearded woman clash together to create these surreal but powerful images.
