Maskull Lasserre

Yes. It’s an axe. The skeleton of a snake has been delicately excavated from it’s handle by Canada resident, Maskull Lasserre. His sculpted allegories reveal the potential of commonplace items, but his skill is far from typical. The metamorphosing of each piece occasionally gives them a new purpose and always something more than an artistic context, the macabre subjects serve them up as momento mori-esque votives against the everyday.
