I wish I was the type of person who handled multitasking well. Don’t get me wrong I’ll do everything I’m supposed to do but it will be completed with a crumpled brow, frazzled hair and a lingering sense of panic. A cool approach is what’s needed – that or eight arms.

While he probably doesn’t have octopus arms, Matt Chase still manages to produce projects in both graphic design and illustration, to an accomplished, aesthetically pleasing standard as well. With an array of editorial spreads, posters, type work and brand identities among other things in his portfolio, Matt is certainly versatile and employing a variety of styles from vintage Americana to slicker, more contemporary approaches, demonstrates his adaptability. With engaging, playful and colourful work, it’s clear Matt just really has fun with what he does. If only we could all produce such calm and collected results with our haphazard tentacles…
