Just because we can’t use a sewing machine doesn’t mean we can’t create clothes in our brains. Matylda Krzykowski recognised that her textiles, furniture and graphic designer friends were bubbling over with creativity – but weren’t given the opportunity to design clothes. For Fashionclash – a Netherlands clothes shop turned festival – she decided to ask ten artistic friends to create one outfit each that coincided with their personal work. The results are outstanding, yet also uplifting. If anything says ’don’t just stick to what you know’ then it’s a project like this.
