Illustration: Miju Lee illustrates houses you might want to live in

Date
14 October 2013

Miju Lee is one of those illustrators who can make any subject charming armed with nothing but a packet of colouring pencils, a large piece of paper and a couple of hours. Looking at one of her drawings is strangely comforting; each of the rooms she draws seems oddly familiar in spite of the childlike two-dimensionality of her images. Combining geometric patterns on carpets, clothes and furniture with floral and textural detail and collage elements, Miju’s is the kind of house I’d like to live in if I lived in a book – colourful and tropical and full of nice things.
