Here is an image of mounted images of framed images hung on a wall. Böhm’s work contains many differing levels of focus – initial documentation (in this case of the saplings), followed by reproduction, the documentation (of the reproduction), the reproduction of the second documentation, etc. So what THE HELL are we really looking at? At what level should we focus? And to which should we connect? Who knows – my brain’s a little fried and I’ve got absolutely no idea what “the act of documentation” really means anymore.
