Mogu Takahashi

Strings, painted papers, cut cardboards, buttons, fabrics, combination of small pieces…all Japanese artist Mogu Takahashi’s jobs take part in a universe full of wonderful characters. In the limits of outsider art, opposite to the big works of art and much closer to the subtle attitudes from artist like Richard Tuttle, her imperfect handcrafts, full of immediacy and colorful, with no artifice, are a completely fresh air blow up to me. “Take us home” say some of her clothed dolls.
