Mr. Crato is an ongoing collaborative project between Joe Crocker and myself since 2008. We use the opportunity to work together as an experiment in creativity, both of us exploring new ways of working that we can then direct in to our personal work. We start pieces without any direction allowing our minds to run free. Always happy coincidences permeate the work delivering moments of joy and abstract grace and humour. We are both perfectionists with our own work and the difference in working process allows us some stress release from trying to be too perfect with our own work.
