Meet the speakers: Gem Fletcher, Noah Harris, Sonya Dyakova and Weirdcore

Ahead of next week’s Nicer Tuesdays event, we meet the speakers who will take to the Oval Space stage.

Gem Fletcher, director of photography for esteemed women’s magazine Riposte will step in for editor Danielle Pender to share the thought process behind its recent issue. Starring a topless Ericka Hart, the cover shoot by Shaniqwa Jarvis has received boundless praise for its important message. Gem joined the mag in January, so she’ll also be sharing some of her dynamic previous work, art directing all sorts from wrestlers in Mongolia to dancers in Stockholm.

I’m going to talk about the film I recently made for Eon and Gorillaz.

What aspect will people not be expecting to hear?

The alarmingly short timeframes we had to work to.

What’s the one aspect of the project you can’t wait to tell the audience more about?

Each step of the way threw up major challenges. It’s amazing when you pull these films apart and start to see what goes into them, how many people are involved and the problems you have to overcome.

What aspect will people not be expecting to hear?

The things which motivate/inspire me for different projects and why.

What’s the one aspect of the project you can’t wait to tell the audience more about?

Well this is kinda similar to the previous question but, where I draw my inspirition/motivation from, depending on projects.
