Epic music videos, paper cityscapes and pub carpets at Nicer Tuesdays September - get tickets now!

Date
13 September 2016

At Nicer Tuesdays September we’ll have insights to a much-talked-about music video, an incredible paper city, the characters of London’s streets, and what lurks underfoot at Wetherspoons. Get your tickets now for 27 September.

Director Sam Pilling recently collaborated with DJ Shadow for the epic video to his latest track Nobody Speaks. Sam will be telling about the video which depicts a UN-style meeting where diplomats let loose as a high-level international summit descends into chaos, and it’s brilliant viewing.

Paper artist and set maker Hattie Newman is known for her intricate model scenes, including one for the London Olympic Park map. Her most recent, Canon City, saw Hattie create paper versions of the Eiffel Tower, the Chrysler building and colourful Amsterdam houses to beautiful effect.

Photographer Phil Sharp will be talking about his Ermine Street series, for which he has candidly caught the expressive faces of London’s varied residents. His photograph of Dave Okumu was recently chosen as the cover image for the British Journal of Photography’s Portrait of Britain show.

Kit Caless is a writer and author of Spoon’s Carpets, a book that celebrates the art of what lies underfoot at Wetherspoons. Photographed just with Kit’s feet in the foreground, the carpets’ eclectic patterns and colours become like a modern day tapestry of pub culture and reveal local histories.

Tickets are available now for 27 September.
