What's On: Olivo Barbieri

Date
13 March 2012

What’s your favourite European mountain range? Maybe the Alps if you’re a winter sports nut? Macgillycuddy’s Reeks if you love weird names? The Rockies if your geography is atrocious? What about the Dolomites? Nope, I didn’t have any frame of reference either…until now. Italian photographer Olivo Barbieri’s staggeringly good Dolomites Project is currently on show at New York’s Yancey Richardson Gallery and they are the best landscape photographs I have seen for ages – monumental, atmospheric and ever-so-slightly overwhelming (in a good way).

The show runs until the end of March.
