Web: Lovely blog On A Wednesday gives us a glmpse into New Yorkers' lives

Date

I know you all probably think I’m quite a slick arts journalist type who embodies sophistication (ha!) but at heart I’m pretty simple. Maybe that explains why I am so drawn to this project On A Wednesday like a moth to a sexy lady moth. It’s the work of Dave Dawson and Bekka Palmer, who were moved to try and answer the fundamental question: “There are a lot of people out there. What are they all doing?”

So they set out into New York every Wednesday to find out, approaching the people they ran across, asking them a few questions and taking a photo. We get pontifications about acupuncture, retirement and a pregnancy revelation, but what’s so great about this is how is that even in the most terse interviews, we get a sense of that person and their place in the world, such as Robert and his desperation to get out of work every day.

Lovely stuff – keep up the good work Dave and Bekka!
