These mind-blowingly intricate landscapes are actually tiny 3D dioramas that, when inserted into a gallery wall and magnified through glass, look like windows into another land. A little bit hard to get your head around (and I still haven’t quite got it), but it’s almost too good to know where to begin – just check out the list of materials used in the process: air, ash, starch, vellum and cast wax to name a few highlights.
