Patrick Kyle releases exciting drawings ahead of his zine with Jason Murphy

Date
9 July 2014

When Printed Pages editor James Cartwright first saw these images he said they reminded him of the Tetley Tea folk crossed with something out of The Legend of Zelda and you know what? He’s not wrong. The cloaked, hunched characters are actually sneaky-peeks of Patrick Kyle’s upcoming collaborative zine with fellow artist and publication maker Jason Murphy.

“We haven’t really announced anything yet because it’s still in the works, but it’s for a pretty specific project that Jason imagined,” Patrick told us. “We’re making a small newsprint zine that comes with a piece of Silly Putty. The idea is that you can stick the putty over the images and copy them and then proceed to stretch and contort the images that are imbedded in the putty (all in the interest of fun).” Form an orderly queue ladies and gentlemen, but behind me and James if you please.
