Paul Smith's striking posters celebrate the Tour de France's arrival in the UK

Paul Smith has just designed these three bright posters in order to celebrate the arrival of the Tour de France in the UK. We love the mustard yellow colour of the print, and the way that the shape of the outlined cycling route bleeds into the bold, striking lettering.

Each of the eye-catching designs takes inspiration from different British stages in the Tour. The first reflects the opening day, when athletes will cycle 190km from Leeds to Harrogate through the Yorkshire Dales; the second celebrates the journey through the Peak District from York to Sheffield, and the bright blue third accompanies the final stage in the Tour’s UK visit, when the peloton will race 155km from Cambridge to London.

A famous cycling fan, Paul was very excited to participate in the celebration. He explains: “The Tour de France doesn’t come to the UK too often so when I was asked to contribute to the build-up to this great sporting spectacle I was delighted!”
