Philip Karlberg/Mattias Nyhlin: 33 RPM

Date
23 March 2012

Not content with keeping their ears away from their mouths, Philip Karlberg and Mattias Nyhlin set about to re-draw the food/music/art boundary with this latest project, 33 RPM. With Karlberg behind the camera and Nyhlin on set design, they came up with a list of songs that translate into idiosyncratic recipes (Where is My Mind = panacotta, for instance) followed by a snazzy photo of the finished dish spinning atop a 12’’ vinyl. Given the two Swedes have a gift for slick still-life and a perfectionist’s eye for edible arrangements (Nyhlin keeps the best food blog ever), this project has awesome written all through it like a stick of rock.
