Photography: Pauline Miserez's photography even makes washing up look appealing

Date
6 January 2014

Before we proceed, let it be noted that Pauline Miserez has photographed a whole colony of bats flying fast out of a fireplace towards her face (and hair). Surely that puts her in the same league as war Robert Capa who took his camera to the Normandy landings? Well, perhaps not that far, but it definitely makes her in a certain league of her own.

When she’s not photographing piles of dirty dishes to look like treacherous mountain ranges, or flowers to look like dew-laden female genitalia, Pauline is taking her camera to the world of horse racing, where she has managed to capture a dark, regal vibe that only an expert photographer could. Her projects are so strong, I just want to see more. More, Pauline! More!
