Graphic Design: Beautifully understated graphic design from Cyprus' Pin

Date
13 November 2013

Cyprus might not be huge on our graphic design radar but that’s not to say we intend to miss it out altogether – especially not when there are portfolios as impressive as this to admire. Pin is the collected work of Philippos Vassiliades (not one to say quickly), who studied in his home country before undertaking an MA at London’s Camberwell College of the Arts before returning to take his design skills to Cyprus’ sunnier shores. We were particularly enamoured with his work on identities for music festivals, which are simple and uncluttered but flexible enough to be adapted to a whole range of different uses. And doesn’t all text look nicer when it’s in the Greek alphabet?
