Art: The Royal College of Art's secret postcard show is back with a bang
It’s 20 years now since London’s Royal College of Art launched its annual anonymous postcard exhibition and this year’s show features an astonishing 2,900 offerings. Alongside the work of current students and faculty members plus recent graduates there are postcards from the likes of Milton Glaser, Grayson Perry, Jarvis Cocker, Paul Smith and Zaha Hadid.
The conceit of course is that you have no idea who did which postcard and they all sell for a flat fee of £50 but whether you’re buying or not, it’s interesting to see the eclectic array of drawings, paintings and even sculptures that spring from the postcard format.
Stewarts Law RCA Secret is at the Royal College of Arts Dyson building in Battersea and runs until 22 March, the day on which the work goes on sale.
