Riitta’s work is slightly bonkers but in the best possible way. It’s also conceptually rich; re-occurring themes include, identity, perceptions of space, and how we relate and interact with our environment. She is a big advocate of thinking through doing, and maintains that her “hands hold the most decision making power”. Recent projects include a commission by London 2012 in collaboration with We Made That, and The Klassnik Corporation, for landscape and architectural interventions in the Olympic park.
Riitta will be running a one-day workshop as part of Field Trip summer school testing and experimenting with materials, and opening up their creativity possibilities, and potential physical manipulation.
