Founded by an “alternate everything” group of activist-artists, the visuals that emerged from the Peace Press Collective between 1960 and 1990 are as resonant today as they were when they were created to address the civil liberties, environmental, anti-nuclear and anti-war concerns of the day. Politically charged print ephemera has a universal appeal with its honesty and visual ingenuity, what the Art in the Pursuit of Social Change exhibition reminds us is the endurance of such messages and their continued relevance.
