Only 29 and already an established man-on-the-scene, Canadian born Steve Bishop made a name for himself by exhibiting some pretty alarming taxidermy sculptures. He’s since graduated to something altogether more palatable; his latest project, As If You Could Only Kill Time Without Injuring Eternity, is an inviting mix of punchy colour and sumptuous textiles. Though upon closer inspection we can see that Bishop hasn’t entirely forsaken his subversive roots – that lovely silver ribbon is actually a dose of mercury running through the folds of cloth.
