Stockholm Design Lab create smashing new Ikea food packaging

There’s an uber creepy stat that did the rounds a few months ago that something like one in ten Europeans was conceived in an Ikea bed, but the Swedish megastore is much more than rumpy-pumpy receptacles. Its food section has long had a devoted following of meatball enthusiasts but Stockholm Design Lab is hoping to widen the appeal of Ikea edibles with their lovely new packaging. Reflecting the brand’s key values of “reliability, quality and Swedishness” SDL have pulled it off skilfully with simple, clean and communicative designs. They’re so good they even make sardines and marzipan look irrestible…
