Your ears want to love you, they really do, but what with your loud pop music and your loud discotheques and your clumsy ear hygiene regime you are NOT making it easy for them. Never fear though, because we have just the thing to rebuild trust between you and your lug holes – it’s the new Studio Audience podcast! And, to treat you all, we welcome back the inimitable Liv Siddall who is on scintillating form, with a couple of rants and an early mention of a painting pony.

In this section we talked about the Vatican’s Venice Art Biennale bow this year and what we might expect from the pontiff’s pavilion, we wondered why Mike Brodie’s photographs of freight train hitchhikers struck such a massive chord and we discussed The New York Times’ website redesign. We also chatted about the cancelled Napalm Death gig at one of London’s most venerable museums (you can enjoy one of their ditties below) and we lamented the loss of Google Reader, and asked whether the biggest losers were those in countries with censored internet access

First and foremost it was all about Bowie (which we chose to pronounce like “cow” rather than “bow” which may or may not be right) Liv Siddall built on her gushing review of the show with some more thoughts and we touched on this Guardian review as well.
