Studio Dumbar's posters make classical music very, very cool

Rotterdam-based Studio Dumbar have been producing excellent work for more than three decades and their recently-relaunched website gave us a fantastic chance to remind ourselves of their talents. Their portfolio is choc full of brilliant stuff but it was these award-winning posters for The Amsterdam Sinfonietta that really turned our heads.

“We created a distinctly modern identity driven by a bold logotype and typographic palette, the implementation of which remains consistent across all communications,” the studio writes. “Beyond these core elements the identity is free to evolve, with colour palettes and illustrations reflecting the ensemble’s diverse repertoire, as well as the rich and varied nuances of music in general.”

If there was ever a lesson in how to create a buzz around classical music, this is it.
