Graphic Design: Swiss Studio SW are so good that even their rejected work is magnificent!

Sometimes the best design projects never even see the light of day. Once the client rejects them (the fools!) they’re erased from the public domain and confined to a plan chest of unrealised ambition. But that doesn’t mean they’re not great pieces of work…

Swiss design studio SW know this only too well. They’ve found themselves in the position of producing a beautiful piece of corporate branding for Switzerland’s Kandertal tourist board, proposing a simple, bold monogram and type treatment paired with imagery that draws on the region’s rich cultural history. Quite why the tourist board decided not to embrace this new identity is a mystery to us, so we wanted to assure SW that they did a great job anyway.
