Sometimes surreal, always innovative poster design from Austrian agency Studio Vie

Date

Back in 2013, Studio Vie impressed us with an identity for Austrian audio equipment retailers Klangfarbe; and we’ve checked back in with them to discover some utterly gorgeous poster designs. The Vienna-based studio has built up an impressive portfolio of designs for exhibition promotion, including a lovely image for photographer Elfie Semotan’s lecture. Using a monochrome photograph of the back of a woman’s head overlaid with text, the resulting image becomes a beguiling riddle. Elsewhere, limited colour palettes, experimental typography and surreal images make for an innovative, beautiful portfolio.
