Suzanne Treister: Hexen 2.0

Date
27 March 2012

Military initiatives, dystopias and the occult are just a few of the lighthearted themes interpreted in Suzanne’s drawings. Her latest series HEXEN 2.0 is a body of work investigating the Macy Conferences, a post WWII meeting of cybernetician and social scientist attempting to codify “the workings of the human mind”. The theoretics may be a thicket to maneuver through, but her work is as lovely as it is dense – particularly the “historical” diagrams and designs for a 78 card deck featuring Aldous Huxley and LSD. HEXUS2.0 was recently released in book format by Black Dog Publishing.

Suzanne is currently exhibiting at London’s Science Museum which will be on show until May 1.
