Publication: TCOLondon's illustration-heavy book for two tech giants becoming one

Date
12 May 2014

When two companies come together there are lots of ways to mark the merger; team-building away days, commemorative cupcakes and office politics a’plenty among them. But when tech giants Microsoft officially acquired Nokia last week, they marked the brave new era with this lovely book designed by the fine fellas at TCOLondon.

It charts the two companies’ stories from a a paper mill in Finland and a group of computer enthusiasts (nerds) in New Mexico, and uses illustrations from the likes of Paul Blow, Elenor Taylor and Kendrick Kidd to very pleasing effect.

It would be very easy for a book like this to feel either a) dry and corporate or b) gratingly twee but it appears that TCOLondon have steered the perfect course with it.
