Falling and laughing: the art of falling over told in new book

Date
8 March 2016

All framed by the idea of falling, The Fall is a publication featuring artist Patrick Pound’s photographs, postcards and objects of ephemera that would make Mark E. Smith proud. Designed by Forde + Nicol, a studio based in Melbourne, Australia, the format and sequence of the image collection was worked out collaboratively and the publication was hand-bound with large format pages in an edition of 100. The cover is short and narrow, and depicts a reproduction of a comic romance book Falling In Love: Romances. It leaves the first page open, with hints of the falling and laughing to come.
