I don’t want to rile Dylan devotees, but “the times they are a-changing” is a pretty trite lyric – even the addition of the folksy “a” before changing fails to raise it much beyond the banal. Still the line could be the mantra for anyone working in the media at the moment, and as the media changes massively, so too does advertising. Thankfully Dave Birss is tackling those changes head-on with his Future of Advertising podcast, which features genuinely engaging interviews with top ad-land figures, plus a feature where his young daughter reviews current adverts. It’s interesting stuff, and I imagine pretty important for those in the industry.
