The New York Times: The 6th Floor Blog

Date
3 November 2011

As we keep hearing, we live in an era of unprecedented openness, and should expect – nay demand! – to know everything that goes on anywhere ever. Unfortunately the tendency to open up often becomes exasperatingly self-indulgent, or desperately dull. Not so at The New York Times though where The Sixth Floor Blog is a genuinely fascinating insight into what goes on at America’s most famous newspaper. It’s used to explain design and editorial decisions, analyse comments posted on articles, or cherry-pick stuff the NYT staff really like. Learning, entertainment and time wasting all rolled into one – our kind of combo.
