Publication: A fascinating look at an extraordinary man in The Wes Anderson Collection

Date
22 October 2013

Look, we all love Wes Anderson films, no one likes them more than somebody else it’s just a universal appreciation in a similar vein to popcorn or oxygen. With that in mind, this is the kind of publication for which the world’s been waiting for years, an in-depth, affectionate look at one of the world’s most infamous and consistently brilliant yet mysterious directors.

The book, published by Abrams and written by film critic and director Matt Zoller Seitz,is crammed, crammed with previously unseen material including interviews, illustrations by Max Dalton, storyboards, essays by the likes of Michael Chabon and some incredible photographs. Oh God the photographs, it’s like you’re in that diner with Owen and Luke Wilson and Wes himself. It’s like you were there witnessing Bill Murray mess around with the kids from The Royal Tennenbaums while the crew looked on rolling their eyes. Intimate, hilarious and infinitely enlightening, this is a must-buy, must-see, must-read for any fan. Wait, scrap that, anyone.
