I returned to This Long Century recently and the archive of intimate documents – the sketchbooks, ephemera, essays and countless photographs that go some way to revealing an artist’s process – has evolved into a fascinating trove of insight. From the collaged documentary of the things the “post-economy tattooist”, Thomas Jeppe accepted as tender, or the re-staging of the discovery of the Antikythera Mechanism by Nick Hagen, the list of contributors is a resource in itself. Top recommendations go to Scott King’s essay on trying to exhibit and a fascinating video of ingenious pleas for random things from Bless (pictured).
