Tracey Emin's neon takes over Times Square every night in February

Date

Tracey Emin has had some pretty spectacular milestones in her career, but her newest show is a real head-turner for the Margate girl made good. The digital art platform s(edition) is displaying six of her neon works on 15 of the biggest billboards in New York’s iconic Times Square. For three minutes every night at 11:57pm, the screens will spell out Tracey’s messages on the giant screens, a fleeting moving exhibition in one of the busiest public spaces in Manhattan.

s(edition) Ceo Robert Norton says this programme could be a “pivotal moment” for digital art platforms, and Tracey said: “Every year I send Valentine’s. This year I won’t have to. Times Square will do it for me.” If you’re in New York definitely check it out and if you’re clever, pretend to your partner that you arranged it just for them for unheard of brownie points.

I Promise To love You runs throughout February.
