With the 68th Venice International Film Festival now in full swing it’s a good time to have a look at what’s on offer at the premieres this year. Owing to the secretive nature of the event it’s predominantly big-hitters on show here, but there are still rich pickings to be had. William Friedkin’s Killer Joe (pictured left) stands out as a must-see, with Matthew McConaughey playing a charismatic hit-man with surprising conviction. Other highlights include Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, The Ides of March and A Dangerous Method all showcasing particularly epic trailers.
