The latest offering from viction:ary explores creatives' love of monochrome

Date

It’s one of the enduring mysteries that underpins the art and design world – why creatives have an affinity with certain colours and combinations. A new series by the ever-impressive viction:ray called Palette explores one colour scheme at a time in an attempt to shed some light on this enigmatic subject, kicking off with Black & White — New Monochrome Design.

Featuring 130 projects including graphics, art photography and fashion, the book investigates why this “creative attitude” continues to engage and enthral designers across so many different fields.

It looks great too (as we’ve come to expect from the viction:ary stable) and is a welcome addition to the world of intelligent design criticism – we can’t wait to see which colour comes next.
