Dean Chalkley is the widely-acclaimed photographer behind the dedicated and reverent series, Young Souls. The exhibition at the Youth Club Gallery in Kingley Court, which ends this weekend, fixes an admiring eye on the finest movers in the iconic Northern Soul contingent. A film of the same name, directed by Chalkley and initially commissioned by the excellent 125 Magazine, is seriously good in terms of the cinematography, sound, aesthetics etc., and the dancing is so damn cool it hurts.
