Publication: wilfredtimo honour Timo's grandfather in a beautiful book

Date

The elderly don’t really get enough credit from us young upstarts. For some reason we forget that they ran the world perfectly well before we were even born – probably even better than our generation ever will – so we should sit down, shut up and listen to the wisdom that flows from their geriatric lips. Better still we should all spend time with our grandparents and record their biographies for posterity just in case all that worldly wisdom is lost to history.

Timo Demollin, one half of dutch design duo Wilfred Timo, is so impressed by his own grandfather that he’s catalogued his biography in a stunning book that takes the form of several interviews, conversations and a thorough raiding of a comprehensive photographic archive that charts Robert Linschoten’s relationship with yoga, his family and the countries he visited over the course of his life. Timo produced the book in a limited edition of 100 and then circulated it among his friends. It’s hard to think of a better way to honour a man to whom you owe your existence, so congratulations Timo on a beautiful project well executed.
