Young Colombian creative Zamir Bermeo Rhodes creates weird worlds and wonderful characters

Date

And so to Bogota, Colombia, to immerse ourselves in the weird and wonderful world of Zamir Bermeo Rhodes. The young creative is a dab hand at developing illustrations and graphic art for a whole host of clients and a range of platforms. “I’m attracted to projects where I have the opportunity to generate ideas and dream,” he says and that much is evident from a quick romp through his portfolio.

Don’t believe us? Look at the way the football-kit-wearing shark grins at his newspaper next to a cavalcade of pleasure-seekers (and an old flower seller) in the work for the DNA Journal. Or see how the bikini-clad beauty leans in for an impossible kiss with a deep-sea diver. Or how the moustachioed Dad peers lovingly down at his similarly hirsute infant. He’s also got some more serious editorial work under his belt, but you know us, we’re a sucker for all things bizarre. And for that reason, this talented young image-maker gets our vote.
