The work of South African artist Zander Blom is immediate and impactful. His paintings seem natural, organic, full to the canvas edges with emotion. But there’s something else about Blom we admire: the way he talks so openly about his working process. Here the artist reveals his fondness for “easel painting”. And here he talks about his house as a ramshackle studio, half-finished paintings all over the place. What better artist is there than one who shares not only his work, but how his work came to be?
