  1. Pull My Daisy

Guest posted by Pat And Trevor,

Pull My Daisy: This Is a film by Mr. Robert Frank – the script is by Jack Kerouac who also narrates. It is great because it is. It reminds me of our old house, with the basement, and the 27 housemates in 3 years. David Lynch came round once – just after he made Inland Empire. The Act Of Drinking Beer With Friends Is The Highest Form Of Art – who said that? It wasn’t Robert Frank, or David Lynch – it was Tom Marioni.

  2. Tim Hunkin

Guest posted by Pat And Trevor,

Tim Hunkin is mad. In the true spirit of British eccentricity of the likes of Heath Robinson he creates beautifully comic contraptions. Camp, home made political inventions have been a recurring style over This Is Why We Meet, especially from the Chelsea team that brought the World ‘You Turn Us On’.

  3. Likestarlings

Guest posted by Pat And Trevor,

Likestarlings have got the right idea. You, me, you, me, you, me. Yes yes yes. Getting people to do things they would do but differently and with other people. Collaboration! A place for (very good) poetry, intelligent comment and now, photography. Inspiring stuff for the whole of This Is Why We Meet, especially the exquisite corpse literary investigation being taken on by CSM students this week. They are also some of our best friends.

  4. Infomercial

Guest posted by Pat And Trevor,

We have been working at Wieden + Kennedy for the past 6 weeks. During week 1, the Hula Chair (or Hawaii Chair) was sitting in reception, so we had a go. Exercising whilst working – and then we discovered the infomercial.

Here is something that we want you to want – how best to do this? The hard sell. Infomercials are entertaining. We made some for the Wimbledon students during week 5.
