Bendik Kaltenborn: Todd Terje & The Olsens album

Illustrator Bendik Kaltenborn has worked with fellow Norwegians Todd Terje & The Olsens on the band’s latest album artwork. Bendik has designed numerous record sleeves for Todd’s solo work in the past, so the DJ and producer invited Bendik back to illustrate his band’s first EP, The Big Cover-Up, a collection of eight covers and remixes. Listed on the 2×12” set are eight disco tracks including Baby Do you Wanna Bump by Boney M and La Fete Sauvage by Vangelis.

While the album artwork is an action-packed collection of characters with blazing guns, the poster for the band’s first show, No Bad Days, is a calm contrast. Promoting the gig in New York City with Lindstrøm and Jaga Jazzist, the design has a stripped back, brighter colour palette, with one linking feature — a white ghostly character in the background.
