Bompas & Parr: Dinner at the Twits’

Bompas & Parr is working with theatre company Les Enfants Terrible on an immersive dining experience based on Roald’s Dahl’s The Twits. The food and experience designers will create the event, named Dinner at the Twits’, set inside the protagonists Mr and Mrs Twit’s grotesque house. It combines interactive theatre and a three course dinner in an evening the designers say is not for the faint of heart or soft of stomach.

“Expect a good helping of bird pie at the centre of a gruesome medley of disgusting dishes washed down with homemade cocktails, Mr Twit’s special brew and Mrs Twit’s potent punch,” says Bompas & Parr, “just remember to fish the glass eye out of your glass before drinking.”

The creative team also includes Creature of London and live entertainment company ebp. It is part of a series of events celebrating the author’s 100th birthday, and is the first time one of his books has been adapted for an adults-only event.

The event will run from 4 September — 30 October at The Vaults in Waterloo, London.
