Fashion and design studio Eley Kishimoto has collaborated with photography brand The Impossible Project on a special edition instant film. Its recognised Flash print design will be used on the range, with its spiky monochrome pattern applied as a frame to black and white film. The Impossible Project makes I-1, an instant camera combining digital and analogue technology based on Polaroid’s original technology.

The Welsh-Japanese studio comprises husband and wife duo Mark Eley and Wakako Kishimoto and is known for its striking pattern design, which has emblazoned everything from the Centre Point tower to Nikes, Eastpak bags and Anglepoise lamps. The Flash pattern was previously used for the studio’s London Design Festival installation as part of Brixton Design Trail, when the black and white design was stencilled on the pavement surrounding Brixton tube station.

The project is one of a series the photography brand is running with studios and brands across the design, art and music sectors.
