International Magic and Matthew Stone: FKA twigs website

International Magic, aka Studio Remote’s Adam Rodgers and Stefan Endress, and Matthew Stone have created the new FKA twigs website – a vast archive of the artist’s live performances, videos, music, and imagery. Launched today, Twigs said on Instagram: “Excited to share my new site with you and to have one place where all my work is archived, to discover unseen work and join the dots between the projects I’ve made… this is a creative project in itself so please explore.”

“The brief was to capture twigs’ vast and varied creative output spanning, music, direction, choreography, dance and more, and translate this online in a unique and exciting way,” explains International Magic’s Adam Rodgers. “Exploration and discovery were the main themes behind the direction, giving her fans a look behind the scenes of her projects, artistic themes and frequent collaborators.

“We created a minimal, quick-view navigation system and split the content into four sections, Explore, Listen, Watch and Look, allowing users to immerse themselves in the content, and also drill deeper to discover her albums, singles, video and other projects.”

Amid the Watch archive are films from twigs’ live performance piece Soundtrack 7, shown as part of her residency at Old Granada Studios for Manchester International Festival; and the documentary Baltimore Dance Project directed by Nick Walker. There’s also the videos for Ache directed by Tom Beard and twigs, and 2016’s Good to Love with visuals by twigs and Imma.

In the Look section is footage, photography and recordings from Rooms, a showcase of set design and performance curated by twigs for the Veuve Clicquot Widow Series in October.
