Fitness brand Frame launches bright pop-up retail concept in east London's Old Street

Fitness brand Frame has launched a pop-up studio in east London’s Old Street station, boasting bright interior graphics and a retail design scheme referencing its debut outlet in Shoreditch’s look and feel. The pop-up has been designed by Frame’s in-house designer Maca, who drew inspiration from the Shoreditch branch of Frame’s mural by artist Lakwena. The graphics were applied alongside print production house LovePrint.

Alongside bold, Memphis-like patterns across the wall and ceiling, the space uses vintage-style gym apparatus such as rope, rings and bars to display its merchandise, with wooden palettes housing media equipment. The studio will be in place for a further three weeks, and forms part of the Appear Here programme which uses disused spaces around London to house pop-up concepts. Current tenants in the Old Street spaces include sports snack brand Tribe. Previous Appear Here tenants have included Moleskine (also in the Old Street underground space), Apple and Google, as well as startups including porridge brand 26 Grains.
