My Little Pony manufacturer Hasbro is being sued by type library Font Brothers. The Minneapolis-based font specialists has accused Hasbro of failing to buy the licence required to use the Generation B typeface on its packaging and other touchpoints. The typeface design is inspired by the opening titles of Disney’s 1961 film The Parent Trap, and is currently still in use on the My Little Pony website. Font Brothers is seeking damages of $150,000 (£104,820) per infringement, according to the BBC.
