New D&AD president expects to give out "thousands more" pencils

The new D&AD president Andy Sandoz, creative partner at Havas Work Club, officially takes up his post today, with Turner Duckworth principle Bruce Duckworth appointed as deputy president. Andy’s says that under his presidency he expects D&AD “to give out exponentially more Pencils, thousands more. Not because our benchmark of quality is getting lower – we won’t drop our standard – but thanks to technology, we are about to get better.”

Andy takes over from Mark Bonner, co-creator of agency GBH. Caitlin Ryan, former group executive creative director at Karmarama; LIDA creative director Nicky Bullard and New Blood Trustee are announced as newly elected D&AD Trustees.
